campin in big bend

I just go back from a week long camping trip in Big Bend National park.. Just me.. my dogs.. and jeep..

what i like about it is ..we wheeled the dirt roads and 4x4 only roads till dark then set up camp each night..

one night we hung out and camped in an old abandon mercury mine.. it was creepy but fun..

out there ya gotta watch out for illegals, black bear , and mountain lions... lol.. but with 2 attack weiner dogs and a 40 cal. we weren't worried about much..

when i get my jeep project completed i'd like to take it to Big Bend State Park.. its just about 30miles west of the national park with more difficult trails and absolutely NO recovery.. on your own...

anyone interested in a hardcore adventure let me know .. im thinkin april sometime..

I made a suggestion to my chapter awhile back about going to big bend....it would be a long trip but I think it would be fun....
