| I have been ready to order this for over a week. I keep seeing different deals all the time so I keep putting it off. Supposed to be a Christmas present for me from my wife. blah blah I have to order it myself so I keep watching the price. Maybe your reports will get me off my ass and buy it. | |

I ordered mine fron there last night and used the christmas discount coupon. Apparently I didn't read that Superchips isn't part of that deal. I thought I was going to have mine delivered for $287 after the 7% discount. So I should have mine in a few days for the $309 which is still a good deal. This is supposed to be a Christmas present for me. I wonder if I can be sneaky and install it on my Jeep and then wrap it back up and put under the tree.

| I've had my SC for a few months now and I am very happy with it. One of the better upgrades I have done. | |

| Definitely one of the best mods I've done.
And I searched a LOT for the best price before I bought one. I got the hook up at a local place for the cheapest I'd found, then Northridge posted their price later the same week for less. They have the best price for sure. Others have started coming down to match his price, but free shipping puts him on top.

My experience with the SC and long distance driving I noticed that there is a much better MPG. I usually set the Heep on cruisecontrol at around 78MPH. With the 93 performance I noticed that there is enough power difference that my Heep does not spie up the RPM's as often. Without the SC my heep would jump to 5000RPM on a regular basis and that I would have to gas up 3/4 of the way into the trip (4 hour drive from SATX to McAllen). With the SC I am able to make the entire trip and still have enough gas inthe tank to drive around all weekend. Now, it could all be in my head and the wind factor could be a huge factor in this also.

| I can't wait to play around with these options. IIRC I have read a few people saying that they got better MPG improvements with the 93 oct vs the 87. I wonder if its enough improvement to make 93 more cost effective over 87. | |

| I haven't done the math to that detail, but when I first got mine, I started off on the 91 setting. I'm on 35s with 4.10s (manual tranny) and I got a 3.5 mpg increase. I bumped it to the 93 setting and lost a little mpg, but there was some gain in power, especially in 6th. I drive I-30 every day into Dallas doing 80 and before the SC, any rolling hill and I had to downshift to 5th. I don't have to do that any more.
So for the hell of it, a few weeks ago I gave the 87 setting a try. I didn't do a true mpg reading, but only got 280 miles on the first couple tanks. That, paired with the VERY noticeable loss of power, I went back to 93 and won't be changing it again.

| I have not tried any of the other octanes yet but the 87 and I can hear some pinging untill it warms up. I am thinking it is because it is so cold. I want to try the 91 but think it would get worse. I am running 87 octane gas and might try higher octane when I have to refill the tank. | |

| Oh, that was the other thing I forgot to mention. I was already running 89 or higher already. My JK wanted to stall all the time running 87 - almost anytime I came to a stop. I've not had that problem since switching to the higher octanes. So there really wasn't a gas price factor in it for me. I say "my JK" cause I've also owned 2 TJs and an XJ. | |

| grrr.. supposed to arrive today sometime.. hurry post man.
Does it have a 89 octane setting? I only run 89. I assume you have to put in the octane gas that you set the flashpaq to. I haven't seen 87 oct in Texas in a long time. I see it when I travel West.

| I don't believe it does. I think it's only 87, 91 and 93. And I haven't tried it, but someone I trust told me that if you use the 91 setting, you better use 91 or 93 gas. He says it'll ping if you don't. | |

| I read on jkowners that you can run the 93 setting and run regular gas, but in the colder months you will have to run 93 octane gas with it. | |

I think Texas is normally 87, 89, 93 octane. When in Vegas and Colorado I saw 85,87, 91. I love how I generalize all of Texas based on the 4-5 cities/towns I visit. Someone prove me wrong and find a 91 oct here in Texas.

| Yeah 91 is a little harder to find. The only place around here that I see it is RaceTrac, I think. They used to have 5 octanes to choose from. They had something below 87... 83 or 85? I hardly ever go there, so I can't remember.
I had another car that specified 91, so I used to go there for that, but it's been over 6 years.

| The guys with the manual transmission will have a wholly different experience than those with the automatic.
A Rubi, 4:10 6 speed with 35s rolling down the highway is 40 rpm(yes, 40) less than an Auto with 5:13s and 35s.

| OK Santa brought me a SC flashpaq for Christmas. Where do I toggle the TPMS off? I found a setting to lower it but that bottoms out at 26 PSI. I want it off. I updated the software as soon as I took it out of the box. Do I have to download something else or should it be an option with the lasted download? | |

| From what I have seen is that you can't turn it off. ( I may be wrong but I haven't found how to if you can) I did refill with higher octane and got rid of the pinging. I am now running gas mileage setting and can tell some loss in power. | |

| OK I figured out how to shut off the TPMS instead of just lowering the pressure. When I first got the SC flashpaq I updated and then tried it out. I tried to update again now and after checking/updating it came to another window with 4 options. Apparently it shows them now because it knows I have a jeep and these are jeep specific features. The new stuff was a logging feature, TPMS disable, TPMS enable and Unlocking the VIN. The first 3 I added to "my cart" and each was free. The unlock VIN was $100. After adding the logging, enable and disable TPMS and clicking checkout it updated my flashpaq again.
Not sure what the unlock VIN means. Could I run this SC flashpaq on my 2nd jeep if I pay the $100?
Zach did the Gas Mileage setting have less power than the 87 Octane but more than stock or also less power than stock?
