Needed to vent!!!

If any of you guy's are a contact on my personal e-mail account, you probably received the e-mail listed below.
This is an obvious SCAM, and please don't act on this.

Hi,

How you doing? We made a trip to London (United Kingdom) unannounced some days back, Unfortunately we got mugged at gun point last night! All cash, Credit card and phone were stolen, we got messed up in another country, stranded in London, fortunately passport was back in my hotel room. It was a bitter experience and i was hurt on my right hand, but would be fine. I am sending you this message cos i don't want anyone to panic, we want you to keep it that way for now!

Our return flight leaves in a few hours but I’m having troubles sorting out the hotel bills, wondering if you could loan me some money to sort out the hotel bills and also take a cab to the airport about ($2000). I have been to the police and embassy here, but they aren't helping issues, I have limited means of getting out of here, we canceled our cards already and made a police report, I won’t get a new card number till I get back home! So I really need your help.

You could wire whatever you can spare to my name and hotel address via Western union:

As you have read this, the ones that know me would know that I would never send out an e-mail like that.

Second, whomever is thinking about mugging this former Royal Marine will get that gun shoved up his ARSE so deep, that he would be shitting bullets for a while.



Just to let you know. I think they got my password from Facebook. I used the same password on that as well as my personal gmail account.

Bad mistake and this will not happen again.

I still believe that FB is how my Paypal got hacked - I made the same mistake of using the same password... all that is fixed now.

Well, shit happens, but it was a mess to clean up this morning.
Calls started coming in at 3AM, and it has been non stop.
At least a sign of good friends.

Unfortunately I have no way of e-mailing everybody to let them know about the scam. I lost all my contacts.

Is it in your sent items? If so, you can get all of the contacts off that.

They must've sent it to everyone by BCC, they deleted the e-mail they sent and also deleted my contacts. This is to prevent me from warning everybody in my contact list.
The good thing is that I am horrible at deleting my e-mails, so I might be able to get most the e-mails addresses, if they replied or sent me something.

OK, just issues didn't stop. Figured out that the MF'ers forwarded all my e-mails and automatically had them deleted from my gmail.

I wondered why it was so quiet.

I think it is all fixed now. Not sure if they were able to get more information from me.
