| Thanks, If i can get some sun i have plenty to keep my busy for now. It seems to rain on my days off lately leaving me stuck inside. I finally came to realize i needed to crack down and swap the axles. This is where the direction of the build plans began to change. Might as well build the rest of the jeep while its under the knife. So i parked it and began to add to my tool collection with the purchase of a millermatic vintage w/ co2, oxy acetylene torch... Scored all of that from some dude on craigslist for 200 bucks and the tanks were full! Also purchased... A JD Model 32 bender with 1 3/4" die...pics coming soon Harbor Freight Tube knotcher and some of the other standard items like First project to get a feel for the bender tube fenders and doors, then i'll give the cage and bed a go. | |

| Mi bender es tu bender primo. Sorry Deac but I had to let it go. I didn't even get a chance to post it up here...had a few people lined up. It would have been a shame to cut it up when i knew someone in need. | |

| looks like you're building a shop out there ! just wondering, did you get the hydro or manual version? if its the manual one, are you going to gusset the base of the stand to the shaft with triangles to keep from ripping it from the base? damn i wish we had the same days off | |

| I went with the manual set up for now to save some $$. 395.00 plus 35.98 for shipping, to my door for 430.98. The 1 3/4" Die was another 300.00 alone. I intend to get quite a bit of use out of it. I'll will eventually add the hydo later but for now this will suffice. And yes some gussets for good measure. | |

| I have had my eyes on craigslist for about a year now when i came across my Dana 60. Luckily I don't think the guy knew what it was or he would have asked for more. You just have to be quick as they don't last long. I have seen several from a guy located on Shepard Rd in San Antonio but they need to be rebuilt. I've seen them on ebay as well but I have no idea what shipping would be like. | |

| Are you going to build it with zero departure angle, or are you going to keep an extended bed on it more like an MJ? | |

I'm shooting for something in the middle actually. The bed may slightly over hang for now running 35s on the street, but that's for now. Once it's done i'll start thinking about 40s? It should be close enough to zero...not sure on the exact wheelbase either so we shall see. | |

| Hah! Am I Going to wheel it? I Cant Wait!!!! Yes Fish Plates have been cut but my CO2 bottle on the welder ran out which stopped all foward progress. That means i gotta take some time out of my day on wed to get it filled. Oh well, as for the cage...i have a few ideas in my head. already picked up 5 sticks of 1 3/4" tube so i'll be replacing all the stock tube. I will use some tube clamps to run some removeable cage tie ins from the cab to the bed. The plan is to still use a hard top. | |
