New here from the coast!!

Hey to some old friends and hopefully some new ones as well!! I was directed here by GULF COAST PIRATE, haven't done any wheelin' with them yet but have had several outings with rdhrd4 from S.A. Our JK is actually my wifes JK, this is her 3rd Jeep. Before we were married, her 1st vehicle at age 16 was '78 CJ5 with about 4" lift and 33's, 304 V8 and 3 speed standard, then she bought a stock '89 YJ, then in 2009 after 13 yrs of marriage, I suprised her with an '08 4 dr on Valentines Day!! She loves wheelin' as much as anybody(god I love that woman)!! Anyway, this forum seems to be very cool, I recognize lots of you from another forum. Anytime there is a beach trip or anything we will be up for it!!

Welcome to the forum. The Jeep we have was my wife's originally as well.
Until I made it too uncomfortable for her drive, so I got her a new ride and the Jeep is mine.
And she does enjoy offroading as well, just likes something a little more comfortable on a day2day basis.

welcome!!! I was in your neck of the mud sunday afternoon. Took the wife for a quick cruise to B&R flats and "got a little mud on the tires" Saw a few dolphins in the channel and grabbed a few burgers at the sonic. Boy them roads are gonna be packed come spring break!!

I'm gonna hi-jack the hell out of this thread!!!(sorry Todd) I was parked at the the beach yesterday afternoon and got to see some people bury their vehicles to the bellies. All of them at the same area. The access road between newport pass road and mustang island. First up was a winnebango type duelly. Second one about thirty minutes later was a white bmw. Then a ranger that the 4 wheel wouldn't engage. Didn't pull any of them out. I just shoveled alittle around the tires and used my maxtrax. Probrably head back out there in a few minutes if it don't rain..

you can go to damn near any beach and pull meatheads out of the sand all damn day long.

Sometimes it is fun and some times I like to go to the beach to relax....

i didn't get back from Roundrock till bout 5:00. Its gonna be great when the time change happens.(dark at 9ish)

Heres a few cell phone pics from todays trip.

The view from the toll road 45 going around Austin. I was pretty much the only one out there. I could of stopped the car in the middle of the road and had lunch.





And somewhere out there is the outer edge of Mathis. I was on 37 heading south and it was a dust bowl!

Dang that first one is a pretty awesome picture.
