| I was looking at my 08 JK when I get it back from the dealership and the right front u-joint in the axle was missing the cap anybody else having this problem with their JK? I have used the 4 wheel drive twice. | |

| I swapped my fronts for chromies before I had any problems with the stockers. I understand that losing that cap is the first step to failure..... unless I am mistaken.

| You better get that joint repaired or you're going to lose the entire shaft. If the ears are wallowed out, it's done. | |

| Its spinnin' all the time... so the use of 4wd would not be necessary to cause failure. Now if you used 4wd with a cup missing ... then it would make a puzzle that would be expensive to put together. Good catch! | |

| Its at the dealership getting fixed with everything else they didnt fix right the first time. It wont be ready till at least wed. I know the 4 wheel drive was working fine 2 weeks ago when I used it. so I think somebody took it on a joy ride but I didnt see any fresh mud or anything underneath it. | |

| It is a good idea to have the caps tack welded on. | |

I've been around, just not wheeling much for a couple of reasons..... Change jobs do to market conditions which equates to less Jeep money. New Jeep has fuel delivery issues (getting addressed next Monday). All three kids are playing sports, so I'm always at this practice or that game. | |
