| Well, 75 mph on beltway 8.....and BOOOM cloud of smoke and now my transfer case is in several large and many small pieces.....
So, looking for suggestion for replacement, probably just go back stock for the price.....anyone have one used laying around?
AA shows to have a OEM for $740
photos will follow..... its ugly!

| If Paul can't help out, I saw this post on CL the other day. It looks like the guy has a couple of transmissions and t-cases together for $500. Maybe he'd separate the t case and you could pick it up for $200-$250. http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/pts/1723440976.html | |

| OUCH.
I'm glad to hear that you're all taken care of. Most importantly, I'm glad the failure of the t-case didn't cause an accident. | |

| Well transfer case back in and operational, however, the front driveshaft is hosed.... guess i will be finding someone to chop off the end and reweld on a new end.... i have used the guy at 45 near 610 before anyone know anyone better/cheaper? So now the chicken and the egg.... Did this fail and take out the TC or did the TC fail and take out the driveshaft... | |
