leave it running, and from time to time have the passenger open it, click the location icon on the map.
I played with it during the week and got some ODD results.....

oh, and if it's crashing on you, go check for an update in the app store... they released an ioS 4 compatible update after we started talking about it on here... was buggered all up until I did the update.
