Hood Bouncing

Anyone having or had a issue with your hood bouncing up and down while fully latched. I removed the front skid plate and that little filler betwen frt bumper and grill and now have that issue. I figured it is the air going under the grill up to the hood.
My new frt bumper only has a small skid for the front maybe that will help once I install it{waiting for them to send me a new bumper}. Just wanted to get some other thoughts!

It's a common issue on stock JKs. Take a zip tie and use it as a limiting strap on the rubber dogbone.

i removed the little hood spring by the latch and that solved my problem

just removed my hood spring so we will see on my way to work.

Zip ties definitely do the trick!

Daystar makes some new latch mechanisms that they call "Hood Wranglers" and charge about $30.00 for if you want to get fancy.

I went with the daystar's, my cheap zip ties kept breaking due to baking in the sun. Stupid harbor freight zip ties...

Yeah I took the hood spring off and it stopped.Going to add the hood struts once they get here.

or you could get a cinder block and use tie downs to hold it in place.

just wanted to say thank you for the advice on this I took my spring off yesterday and it helped A LOT thanks again.

I kept the spring and the retainer screw in my glove box for about a year thinking that I might need to put it back on or something. Zero issues, I chunked it in my bucket of spare stuff in the garage.
