| I bought my jeep with 6 inch shackles front and read. As you can see my tires are not centered. short of cutting, moving and re-welding the brackets without shackles is there anything I can do to fix this? I have been told longer leafs or even shackles on the other side. I would have no clue what size leafs to look for off what vehicles in a pick n pull and think more shackles would cause to much back and forth movement. Ideas, inputs? | |

| One way would be to look into springs from a jeep wagoneer this would move the axles out 1 inch, but if you are wanting lift you need to look at spring over, it would be hard to find anything at pick n pull there is not any YJ out there, I was out there last Saturday. It look like your Jeep already has a 4" lift so spring over with the spring you have on now would give you an added 5". but you need to look at driveshaft SYE and steering changes

| Im good with the life that it has now. I was thinking of doing a spring over and remove the shackles. How bad would axle wrap be on that set up? | |

| I am not familiar with leave springs, but could you possibly move the axles where they attach on to the leave springs? I am not sure how they are fastened to each other, but that might be an option? | |

| well there is no way to move the axles on the springs, they have a center bolt set up. With a spring over you will still have the shackles set up just not needing as long of shackle, but you will have axle wrap and with the lift spring you have on now with a spring over te wrap will be pretty bad with out anti wrap bar. Looking more at your pictures your axle are about right at normal, My YJ in the rear sits about the same, I'm running 4" shackles on 3.5 springs and 35" tires. Another thing to think about is removing your sway bar in front with leaf springs you are not needing it, I have been runnning mine with a sway bar for the past 5 years | |

| They sell new perches for your axles that have several holes in them. Cut off the existing perches and weld the new ones on...or drill a new hole in the existing ones. To me it dosen't look like you need much. | |

| Thanks for the info... I was thinking of doing a sway bar disconnect. Is that a waste of money/time? Friend of mine knows how to home brew one... | |

| For YJ and CJ the sway bar disconnect is a waste it just as good to take the whole thing off, it is not something you really need.
