| Hello everyone!
Little back story...I'm on my 8th Wrangler and this is the first one I've had with a hard top and is a 2 door JK.
I picked up a soft top thanks to TexasKid (John) for an awesome deal. Hell of a guy to go out of his way when he was waaay out of town to help out a stranger. Thank you again John!!
Anyhow, I have nowhere to store the hard top at this point and don't really want to pay for a storage unit just to keep the top. However, I don't like the idea of selling it and wanting it somewhere down the line if I relocate to Colorado or something.
Do you guys think I should sell the hard top and be done with it or hang onto it for future use?

| Hang on to it if you can. But now that you have a soft top, will you ever put the hard top on again, if not, what's the point of keeping it? | |

| I think I will probably sell it. I absolutely hate the buffer/wind tunnel that is created with the windows down and the back window closed.
What I like is the security side of it, but there is literally nothing in my Jeep other than two seats. If they want in they are going to get in either way so I don't know why I'm even concerned.
Hrmm. Decisions decisions.

| I was concerned about security as well. Went with the Tuffy console and enclosure in the back. If a determined turd wants it he is going to get it. I just hope to piss him off a little along the way because after fighting his way in there is really nothing to steal except for my radio face and a GPS.... and some toll booth change. I also added one of the proximity alarms.... it won't go off if you walk by but if you mess with the inside it will bark at you and then go off. Plus it will page me... I am thinking about making a switch that will turn the speaker off so dirtbag doesn't know that I have been alerted that someone is messing with my chit. Knowing turds relatively well I have added a few things that should slow them down which is really all you can hope for. I want them to look at mine and move on to something easier..... | |

| Not bad points or ideas there Ron!
I want to get a baja basket made up for the rear so I have dual levels and a way to protect anything that is underneath it. Sometimes I like to put the wife under lock and key and go shopping at the electronics stores, and this would enable me to keep her somewhat quiet while I shop. LOL!
Seriously though, I think I'll give it until summer, throw the soft top on and go from there. Maybe I'll do it before...I dunno!

| LOL. Honestly tho - I love my hard top in winter. But yeah, WTF do I do with it the rest of the year? I wind up leaving it on most of the time, wishing I didn't have it at all, simply because I don't have a good place to store it.
Hopefully soon, I'll have a barn built at the ranch - I'll leave it all down there.

| I love my hard top, but when my boys are old enough for me to be able to drive with the top off.... I donno. Might have to look for a soft top. but that's a few years down the line, so it's a moot point. Sell it. buy more jeep shait! (it should put you half way on beadlocks ) | |

| I really like the hardtop for like 3-4 months out of the year here in Texas, and the rest of the time I wish it was off. I also have a small child, but I think she would dig the soft top now... maybe. She'll be three in July it might finally be time to do it. I wish there was a mod to make the windows in the hardtop removable or even open up....don't understand why they didn't design it that way. Somebody is going to make a killing that way! I realize the rear can be removed, but what I really would like are the sides to open up or come out nicely. The security thing comes to mind only really when I got gear in the back camping, hunting, fishing etc.... but the only thing holding me back was my little one getting blown around back there. One thing that comes to mind especially in a 2dr is my hitch rack that I use. I love it!!! super cheap, effective, and more room for gear either way top on or off. Only problem is when when I really pack the back of jeep up, and have the hitch rack on, if something I need is inside the back, and i can't reach though the cab, and I can't open the rear tailgate without unloading the rack. I guess I'm a little lazy, but trust me it will drive you crazy loading the rack at the gas station pump, and in order to fill the big cooler inside the jeep with ice for the trip. LOL yeah that was me in Freer a couple of weeks ago returning from a hunting trip in the middle of the night.... come to thing of it I had to do the same thing on the way in too. Just my two cents | |

You heard the man ! Marcus, please keep me in mind when/if you do decide to sell the hardtop, I may even let you "poke my taco", wait, that sounded kinda naughty! You taco poker! Seriously all, if anyone hears of a 2 door hardtop, I would eventually like to pick one up, just plantin' that seed.

Don't worry, we can keep secrets. Objection! The above quote has been tampered with, please refer back to original quote "may let". Secrets?, Yeah right, this coming from the guy who outed the "taco poker" in the first place, you "taco poker" outer-er, you
