It made my day when Stacey jumped up in the air and cheered about her new hard top.

It ruined my morning when I found my seats and floor were soaking wet because the soft top didn't seal at the header.

LOL!!

I'm going to the Jeep dealership in Bastrop on Friday morning to let them swap out the header bar under warranty (sweeet). I put some camper cap weather stripping up there for now and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr, sure is cold ra ra jennie. Glad I have MY hard top. Thanks Marcus! The customer service from River City Offroad was outstanding, not only did I get a great deal, I received no charge delivery and install from the owner himself, can't beat that. Not having to leave my little comfort zone was priceless. Keep up the good work, my future business coming your way!

Hey thanks for the kind words! Smile

I miss my hard top. Every time it rains my seats are soaking wet and I still haven't fixed the header/wind issue so I have to pull over every time the phone rings.

I knew they leaked, but I didn't know I'd have gold fish in the floor board! LOL!!

Oh well...it will all be SOOO worth it in the summer.

Trust me, I know. I had 3 TJs before my JKs and they ALL had non leaking soft tops.

From what I've read it's a common thing. It'll be worth it in the summer! Very Happy

My ORH top doesn't leak a bit.. not a drop. I have ran it for two years and sold the hard top a year ago.....

They can make it right and they need to.

The updated header channel from the dealership works much better than the original. Renee and I both had ours replaced just this year, under warranty with the updated verision. I still have just a minor leak and I believe Renee's was rectified competely. It is well worth it to switch out the header channels if you are still under warranty. It will be a big improvement. If your carpet continues to get soaked, it will start to sour and stink lunch

What about using a good bead of sillicone under the header, all the way across? Just glue to damn thing on there. Atleast on the TJ, the whole soft top can come off, leaving the header in place.

Just an unintelligent thought..

I added some weather stripping when I first got back from trading the tops out. That helped with the wind howling but the leaking has progressively gotten worse.

I'm gonna go see if they'll do the header TSB at a different dealership. I sat at the dealer in Bastrop for a couple of hours before they came and told me that my Jeep was no longer under warranty. I argued with them knowing that TSBs had nothing to do with warranty but they weren't hearing it.

We shall see!

Thanks for the input everyone.

After calling the dealership and being told that I would need to leave my Jeep with them for a couple of days I decided to just buy the parts and fix it myself.

So I picked up the new header and installed it tonight and it made a HUUUUUUGE difference. The top fits completely different now and after a test drive on the highway I'm all smiles. I could hear the radio at about 7 where before I had to kick it up to 25+ and talking on the phone was out of the question.

I also have a connection on Mopar parts at a discount now if anyone needs anything just a let Brother Rose know! Very Happy
