| I vote for Salt Lick, but it is in Driftwood, not Dripping Springs. Unless they have a location there?
It is an easy place to meet people at if they get lost on the convoy. Second best BBQ in Texas, right after Potlicking Pirate, and they have BYOB, sit everyone at one time, and typically live Music outside.
Lots of Parking for our Jeeps.

| I'd rather have some grub by Randy and his rascally pirates, but that would put them somewhere cooking for us instead of enjoying the drive. Furthermore, since my afternoon participation will be cut short due to a 3:30 commitment that afternoon, the three sisters drive is just too far to do.
That means I cast my vote for Salt Lick. I'd settle for Canyon Lake too since it is close enough to get me back in time. I'll have both my daughter's with me that day so they'll get to experience topless day.
Let's be sure get an early start so we can maximize convoy time.

| I had an idea also.... I want to participate... The dripping springs run sounds good, but.... that is a mighty long run for my old buggy. I have a top speed of about 55-60 and feel really self conscious about holding everyone up. What if we did the canyon lake thing, and had lunch at The Clear Springs Cafe and got down on some mean Catfish and world famous onion rings? I would love to cook and later in the year I will have the ability to cook while driving right behind my Jeep. http://www.clearspringsrestaurant.com/As for the speed thing, my old rig is getting prepped for some major changes that will make it more agile on the trail as well as more stable on the highway, with a normal top speed. Chew on that for a while..... | |

| That plan works for me. Great suggestion, Randy. It will even allow me to hang with the gang a bit longer too! Of course, that'll probably turn some of the people away from the idea though. I vote yes! | |

Randy since I had already put up a poll can you check with the guys that voted for the dripping springs ride and get their take on the new proposal, thanks Renee
I am ok with the Canyon run again

| So is it pretty firm that it will be the Canyon Lake run? Can someone fill in the details on the route? My parents, who are now San Antonio residents as of two weeks ago, will likely tag along with their TJ and perhaps one of their friends from out of town with their JK - so I would like to pass along the details.
I had voted for the Dripping Springs deal since I've been dieing to get back to SaltLick but am up for whatever.
I too have never taken the full top off, yes I'll admit it - just haven't had a long enough time to make it worth the hassle since I'm always shuttling the little ones around. I NEED to get a hoist!
