I grew up in McCamey Texas and live in Sheffield Texas. Been jeeping for about 5 years now. Currently a member of the Rock Hard Jeep Club in McCamey Texas:

I have a 1981 CJ7 and a 1989 YJ both have 33" tires.

Drove through McCamey and right by Sheffield last week on the way to and from Odessa. My boys thought the all the wind farms around McCamey were cool. They wanted to try and get up close, but we simply did not have time.

Black Gap is actually a Wildlife Manage Ment Area down East of Big Bend National Park. It's very remote and very hot. It's right on the Rio Grande. You can hunt and fish there with certain permits. And as you can see, it's a cool place to take jeeps.

There is a blade from one of the windmills on display at the ally oop park and musem in Iraan Texas if you are interested. The things are HUGE!
