| I'm going to get with Kassi and figure out what weekends im free and try to plan a river trip in mason.. To the Llano river.. Here is my jeep parked at the campsite.. The trail is roughly 2-3 miles and can be done in a stock jeep.. There are also places out there that are very difficult .. All in favor say so.. Any who don't wanna camp, there are plenty of motels in mason only 5-10 minutes away.. | |

| Looks like a beautiful place. If the schedule permits I'm sure the wife and daughters would love to partake in the wheeling and swimming. I'm not to sure they'd go for the camping idea though. | |

| There's 2 different crossings .. 1 has a larger parking area with deeper swimming holes and a cliff to dive from .. It has milder wheeling.. the other is the one from my picture with shallower swimming holes and less parking but has some crazy stuff to wheel on.. both are very nice places to go.. If more than 5 jeeps are interested we'll go to the larger one.. But we'll need to bring some shade for that one.. Both are about 5 minutes from mason.. I'm kinda thinking day trip.. | |

| Actuall the middle pic Ron Gilbert posted looks like it's the larger spot I was talking about.. I think that's a good easy spot to find so we'll call it that one.. Then later if anyone wants to wheel we'll hit the other one | |

| Well my clutch issue is resolved and the jeep is mobile again. I hope to save the carburator but if not, I think I finally have someone to show me how to rebuild them verses buy a new one every time. So it appears I will be there. | |

| That's it. Plenty of parking and a good swimmin' hole too. Just past the bridge on 2389 to the left before you get to James River Rd. which is on the right. Grid: 30.650087, -99.247411 LINKY | |

| I'm interested in this and it looks like something my 3 year old and I could sneak away and do for the day. I can't commit until the date is picked though (but don't plan it around my schedule). | |
