Then I moved to Texas and while shopping for a old stock one to build up again, I came across this one and couldn't pass on it. So yes - I'm bought - not built...

Snapped the front axle when the front driver side tire was wedged - tried pulling out under it's own power before using the winch and it just wouldn't budge. We pulled the axle and I just locked the front up and wheeled the rest of the day with 3 wheel drive.

Thanks guys. yeah it's been fun...and a learning experience. I don't know all that I probably should, but I'm determined to learn and do the work myself. Learning more each day spent under it. Just passed inspection today so that was a big step. Some welds on a busted up muffler and some work on the e-brake were required, but passed on the 3rd run through

Now that it has been deemed road worthy by the state of Texas I'm itching to get back offroad

Nice! Clines and old Katemcy? How did you fair on rainbow rock? Looks like you caught a key on that top ledge. I missed that line and just threw a one wheeled wheelie up it.

We had actually done some work on the rear diff the week prior and had worried about overfilling it. Vent tube was spraying diff fluid and one theory is that hit the rear tire's sidewall and that was that...the other theory is I just messed up..but i would have been happy to redo that line had i been told that

I was there at both those runs......and that driver rear tire did slip. You had the line perfect but the ass end decided to slide down.

Yeah I remember finally coming up clean after a couple of attempts, but I seem to remember Robert following and making it look a whole lot easier in my jeeps yellow twin...

Ahhhh, I was wondering haha. I was curious how you fell off that line at Katemcy. I wish I had a chance to try that one. Oh well.
