First of MrRichSATX, I don't think anybody called anyone an idiot, certainly not me. I thought some random cracker got on the forum, this is not the first time that has happened. Didn't realize it was your wife. On a forum, that is kind of hard to tell. That is why introductions are key, especially on a small community such as this one.
The FIRST 3 post of this person was way out of wack and didn't make sense. Nobody was calling anyone anything out of line. Keep in mind this is an open forum. I have no clue who DocVicky is, but a proper introduction would be nice. I'd have shown more respect if she introduced herself as Mrs. RichSATX. But I'd still be an arse about a response like that.
That was my first impression of her, and it wasn't very PHd-ish.
Now, the trip typically has about 30-40 rigs showing and this is my fourth year doing this with Jeep Nation. I'd say that 80%+ stays right on the beach at the same spot and the Jeeps barely move. We drink, eat and have a great time, talk Jeep, life, etc. It never has gotten out of hand and this is a family friendly trip. A couple of Jeepers dare venture out further from the group, but I won't. I usually leave my balls safely in the hotel room. I don't like to get them hurt, mainly 'cause I want to still have many years of fun with them.
BTW, once we get there. No one is stopping you from driving into the sunset, just cause you have the rig that can do it. I am sure that several others will follow you. Maybe even the guy in the Yugo.
If we still have problems, just tell me when and what time I need to meet you behind the bike shed. This all turned a little high schoolish for me.
Oh, and I'm glad you noticed my PHd (pretty hard dick)
From your non-elitist, Dutch
PS, don't ever get on the Pirate4x4.com forum, as they will eat anyone of us on this forum alive. This forum is incredibly tame compared to that one.
Hopefully we can all go down to the beach and enjoy ourselves. I plan to be there with my wife, daughter and granddaughter on her first trip to the beach. Hope to see you on August 10th in Port A.

Hey Frenchie!
I'm actually going to make a trip. You know, where we just hang out on the beach and relax all day. Instead of insainely driving up and down the sand looking at all the pretty ladies. Oh wait, yeah I guess I'll prob do some of that too. lol.
Did I hear someone ask for wood? I'm going to the ranch today, and can bring some if we want to build a fire.
Someone txt me and let me know.

If that is pointed at my wife, we have a problem dude.
I'm not sure what happened here??? I've been swamped with work the last two months and had not logged on in a while.
docvicky - I'm not sure where your comment came from. If I missed a post, or there was an edited post, or an inappropriate pm, please send me a PM and I can look into it. I do not have full ADMIN privileges, but I can look into it or have an admin look into it. We have quite a few colorful personalities on the forum, but in the end we all have a passion for jeeps.

I'm not as old as you yet. My sack doesn't drag down that far, but my time will come. Sorry, my Jeep is for looks only. Would be afraid to get it stuck or hurt, and I'm not smart enough to get it unstuck.
Now that everyone knows where I keep my balls on this trip, I will be sure to put them in the safe at the hotel. Don't want to lose my nuts!!!

These types of arguments are starting to popup very often in this forum and club facebook page and it is starting to bother me some. We all need to realize that this is a community, a Jeep community, integrated by different people with different backgrounds and expectations. Some of us like to take our Jeeps through rocks, others through mud, sand, or just payment! Some like to modify their Jeeps other think they look stupid with bid tires and all the mods! At the end the goal of this club/forum is to help each other out not to critic one another!
If you want to negative criticize or insult someone, please take it to the private massage.
Just my 2 cents! Raul

Did I start all this with my 20 ppl in a yugo comment? I didnt call anyone an idiot so I don't think so but it seemed to be pointed at me.
This will be my 3rd time going to this beach run. I missed last year cause it was on my wife's b-day. I take my son every time and we enjoy the beach and all the company of our fellow Jeep Nation friends. When we go on "actual" rock crawling trips you see some people at night and you see some people never until u get pictures. This is more of a social event to meet and talk to people that you only talk to on the forums.
Like Doucheboy said some people go for trips down the beach and some stay put. I have done both but I rather sit and catch up with some old friends.
Oh and Sasha grats on the grandkid.

After the Jeep run, or even during it, if anyone wants to come and lend me a hand with some of my tear down on my CJ7, they are more than welcome to, albeit that I live about 45min-1hr drive from the location of the beach meet. I do live on the edge of the county right on the river so I'm basically on the way out for many people. I'll bring some beer for the meet as well. Hope yall don't mind cheap beer (ie coors or budweiser) but no one is gonna touch my Guinness, lol.

Calling this a beach run is like calling a 45k "Mall Crawler Jeep" a beach vehicle. Drive the 120 miles to Mansfield Pass and back, then call yourself a Jeeper. We did it 3 times in a bone stock Jeep. Before we started modding.

My wife is a psych doc and she would agree and approve in the use of the word in this context. Oh she got her MD at USUHS, just in the event you were wondering. There, I just leveled the playing field, We are all idiots for owning jeeps, HAHA! (Just empty every pocket)
DocVicky and MrRichSATX Don't take offense to people here. We kid with everyone and give everyone a hard time now and again. If you both are unhappy with it, well then I guess we are not the place or people you would like to hang around.

So you have to make the drive down PINS to be a "Jeeper" and not a "Mall Crawler"? Obviously not too hard if you did it in a bone stock Jeep guy! People like you give Jeep owners a bad name with your shit talking and high and mighty "Jeeper" attitude.

I was thinking the same thing. It was like everything was going along fine and then *record scrrrrrrrratch* an angry naked homeless person streaked in one door, across the room, and out the other, barking about clown baby turnip corn jesus conspiracy asshole rifles and I was left slackjawed and befuddled about what had just happened when out of left field Doc Holiday propped up the brim of his hat and said, "Yeah, you heard right. Anyone who disagrees, well, I'll be yer huckleberry."
The whole thing is confounding and delightful. I love it. I also love challenges like if you can't go down a beach you don't have a real Jeep, a challenge made to people who make trips half way across the country to find bigger and more challenging rocks to crawl than are available in Texas. But if your idea of fun isn't their idea of fun, well not only are you made entirely of substandard lady parts, but they might just kick your ass while they're at it, insisting the whole time that they're incomparably smarter than you. The whole thing is like the scattered leavings of a dream rent from the pages of Kafka, disorienting, surreal, and slightly menacing.
