| Hello, I have a 2007 4dr jk it has 4.11 gears and a auto trans in it now but since i put the 33s on it it doesnt seem to have the power on the road i have put a Volant cold air, superchips flash pac on it to see if that would help..my question is what gear should i go with i was thinking 4.56 or 4.88 witch would help im sure. i dont think ill ever go bigger on tires if i did it would be a 35 the 4.56 would be ideal for the 33s according to the gear charts but only for that tire and not so good for the 35s if i do upgrade them. so what is the general opinion on this? thank you | |

| There are several here that are running 5.13 with 35's and love them. If you are certain you errol ber running 33's forever, I'd go with the 4.88. If you do step up to 35's, having the 4.88's will better performing. FWIW, I'm running 3.73's with 315/70r17's. I drive like a grandpa though. | |

| If you're like most Jeep owners, I would bet that you'll eventually go to 35's. If you haven't seen this chart, it's a handy guide. | |

| Personally I'd go with 5.13, regardless of tire size. Your 33's are more like 32" tires, and with the lower gears, your Jeep will have more torque. It will make your driving experience more fun, and easier to keep the Jeep at highway speeds without having to push the rev limiter.
I run 37's which measure out closer to 36, and 5.38. I like the Jeep much better and the RPM's aren't that high. at 70 she is about 2200-2300 RPM. | |

| Thanks for the info. I think the 5.13s will be the way to go. Like everyone says I'm more than likely to upgrade to 35s. Is there any one that knows how to set up the the gears. I can do the change out but not sure about the set up stuff | |

| Good idea planning for the future. I am running 3.73 still with 35s and planning to regear eventually. I am thinking 5.38 just cause I know I will get 37s at some point.
