| Alright I have tried looking into this on my own, without much luck. I seem to have noticed that the newer TJs, specifically LJs and Rubicons, run a different t case skid then my 99. It looks like it has less lip and better clearance. Is this true, or are my eyes deceiving me? And my t case skid has been beat to hell, I am even missing one of the four bolts that goes up to my t case. If it is true that the skid plates got improved on the later models, I will be looking for a used one on the cheap.
Also if anyone hears of a stubby or stinger bumper for a TJ let me know. I may go back to stock and cut it, but I would like to keep my 4 KC lights.
Thanks for the help! I look forward to wheeling with you guys this September when I get back in the country! | |

| On my '03 the skid plate bent to shit really quickly and I actually had to beat beat it straight and welded pieces of angle to try strengthen it.......so I would say no! Just my .02 | |

| They're not compatible. They don't line up the same way between 97-02 and 03-06. You want a better skidplate that's just a skidplate, go to Under Cover Fab and get one of theirs. The aluminum ones are awesome, and only about $100 more than the heavy steel. | |

| Thanks Eric! Mine needs to be hammered up, and hammered out. I have already had to rust seal and re coat the thing plenty. It is tough to find just a replacement skid plate with a better design. A tummy tuck would be preferable, but it's not in the budget. | |

| Well it depends on how you define "tummy tuck" but those UCF skids can be had in versions that include shallow as possible without a body lift, tucked up some, and tucked up tight. If you're crawling like you're crawling, there's just not much you can do with the factory skid | |

| Yeah I looked through and saw that on their page after I responded. I am glad to see a good new option that can keep me on a college student budget. Thanks for the help Eric! | |
