Homemade gas tank skid

Well, decided I was too cheap to buy a set of skids....man $1000 bucks for treks is just too much so I made this gas tank skid over the weekend for about $45..... might add one more mount point.... its made of 3/16 steel...waayyy thicker than stock.

Should finish up the welds tonight and have it on by the weekend.

Nice job, man. I remember that you talked about making a set back during the Gilmer run.

I can buy the steel and bring the beer if you want to test your skills on a JK set...........

nice handy work. cant wait to see the finish product & mounted pics. I might have to do the same later... my rock hard skid is really tweaked. my fault for not doing the rear mounts though....
