I think I just banged it around one time too many =) There's only so much those poor cables and hoses can do when 3k+ lbs of metal go bouncing around *laugh* Within the next two weeks though, lots of pics, lots of parts coming in... *grin* !c

Glad you feeling better Todd. Church, hows the Jeep running? Whoa, look at me taking way too long to respond! Didn't see this thread before =( Turned out the MIL was from a loose vacuum hose I couldn't see on the beach, looks like my entire engine had rotated, as lots of things were loose, or wires having their shields pulled away from the tip *shrug*. Runs fine since I got that vacuum line back in (better on the gas too, I was getting around 10MPG on the way home). No further issues w/ the tranny, but I'm going to be putting on a cooler before the year's out. Glad you got to feeling better Skoalman, had us worried for a sec! !c

| BTW Todd, the fishing wasnt too bad on the surf. i was casting for my nephew and letting him reel 'em in. he caught 6 hard head (yeah trash i know) but then he caught an 11" pompano and 3 whittie. my mom caught about 16 whittie. not great fishing, but didnt come away empty handed either. | |

I wish, stupid wind..... Thats okay bro, we will have to go back in late August/early September when the wind settles and really get into the fish.....early September is 'Poon time..... Oh, and tell your Mom she drives a mean truck.....she hung in there good..... Larry, enjoyed meeting you and Yvonne as well. Any time you wanna wet a line over on Bolivar let me know...the good thing about having a beach house is you can fish early in the morning and then come back to the house, fillet the catch and then go up into the AC so you don't pass out...LOLOLOL... Matter of fact, that invite goes to anybody that wants to come to Bolivar.....the fishing really gets good late summer and early fall....when the big bull reds start..and then you have the flounder run in the late fall....

| Thanks for the concern everyone. I got WAY overheated........when you drink drink drink and dont sweat and don't pee....I don't think thats a good thing....LOL. As soon as we started back and I hit the A/C, I started to feel a little better. We pulled into the Best Western, I parked the Jeep, took off my sandy shoes and flopped into the pool. In my clothes. Much to the surprise of the bikini babes by the pool........ Then I got in the shower and flopped there for about 45 minutes under the cold water...... . Claudina got a pretty bad sunburn as well.....If you've never seen a sunburned Latina, its not a good thing. She's sorta brown/red right now. The good thing is shes running around the house in a skimpy nightgown so she stays cool...... It was great trip and we had a great time......still cant believe we met some fellow JK'ers from Houston that were just driving back up the beach.....LOL. Cant wait to do another one.....if the wind would quit blowing....then again, that wind probably made it a lot cooler than it could have been... | |
