| Renee--------Awesome, disregard the PM I had sent you. Are we driving in early Saturday or leaving Friday? Either way will work, but wouldn't mind saving a little cash and just leave early on Saturday. Thanks for taking care of this. | |

Are you calling places in Mason or Brady?
Katemcy is about 1/2 way between the two, maybe a little closer to Mason, but Brady is definitely the larger of the two cities. You might try something in Brady. Thanks Duke, I'll try Brady.

| We could also drive down early Saturday morning and stay that evening. Wheel on Sunday for 1/2 day, than head back home. Let me know where you guy's are staying at, so I can make reservations. | |

Its 2-2.5 hours from my house. More than once I've left home at 6AM for a day of wheeling at Katemcy only to be back home at midnight. There is a trail meeting at around 8:45 and everyone hits the trails about 9AM and wheels to dark. The park is big enough the only thing that determines how fast or slow you go is how big YOUR group is, unless you do the Waterfall trail as its always backs up.

I am going up Friday. I am trying to leave at 4PM to miss traffic. It generally takes me about 2.5 hours. There are a few cabins on the Ranch. They are $45 a day. I have one for Friday and Saturday night. They are EXTREMELY basic, but have a bed, AC, heat, and come with access to the community shower/bath area. I like the convience of them. Also there generally is a band on Saturday night, a big fire pit, and a party like mentality. Its probably cool enough poeple could very comfortably camp, as well.

| that's going to be a busy weekend out there. A bunch of the TX4WD Org chapters have been planning a trip there for months. Should be a great time for y'all. I was originally signed up to go with my TX4WD chapter (they are going up on the 24th and returning on the 26th). But then my assistant at work had to put in for vacation time because her sister is getting married on the 24th (Geez! couldn't her sister pick a different day to get married!!!!!) I can't see driving 6 hours up there on the 25th just to return the next day. Just doesn't work for me. | |
