Funny how Ike caused more damage (in dollars), affected more people, damn near wiped multiple cities off the map. And the media (outside of this area) has basically turned away. Katrina did less damage and the media sensationalized it for months.


The only reason I can see is because we are TEXANS- we don't whine and cry and want to gov't to take care of us. We take care of ourselves and our neighbors.

Where are all the hollywood celebs banding together for our cause? where's Oprah?

They are right where they need to be, NOT HERE, WE DON'T NEED THEM.....We are self sufficient, like N2 said we know how to take care of our selves and neighbors.
