| Just wanted to see who is planning on going to Katemcy Rocks on October 25th and 26th?
I know Renee and I are going and have a hotel booked for the Saturday night only. We plan to leave very early on Saturday Morning. It is the last open weekend of the season, so it will probably be a busy weekend. Hopefully some of the Houston guy's will be able to make it.

I'm about the only Houston guy that is NOT going Not only will a bunch of the guys/gals on this forum being going, but the local TX4WD chapters are also going. And I think the Cypress Off Road guys are going too. So there will be tons of Houston people up there.

| I'll check with the lady and see if she wants to go, or if I can get a pass for the weekend. Being that its right before halloween, she's probably got a dozen parties lines up for us that weekend!

| For those coming I would recommend being at the park Saturday morning at 8AM. You can drop you doors, air down, secure your gear, etc......and we can be ready for the park meeting at 8:45. Then we will hit the trail promply at 9:00. From my house 1604 and 281 area it is 109 miles and takes about 2 hours 20 minutes with one stop. I generally stop in Mason at one of the gas stations just after the town square. Its about 12-14 miles from the park and a good place on the top off the tanks and get ice. The gas station on the right about a 1/3 mile after the square is the biggest. If you are coming up Saturday AM I would recommend a 5:30-5:45 departure, assuming you travel at the speed limit (plus or minus 10 mph). I plan to drive down Friday afternoon, but in the event I don't leave until Saturday AM I will leave my house around 5:15 (I will be trailering so the trip will take slightly longer). I have one of the little cabins at the park, so if anyone needs electricity or a secure place to leave something they can use my cabin. | |

| I'm 75%, but I doubt I'll be able to make it there by 8:45AM on Saturday. Can't take Friday off, and it's what, 5-6 hours from Houston? If I left after work (around 9pm) that would be put me there at 2-3am. I was planning on making it there around noon on Saturday - is that too late?

!c We will wheel on Saturday until probably 5ish. For those camping or staying at the ranch there is generally a band and some craziness after dark. On Sunday we generally wheel from 8:45ish until 1ish. I could give you a cell number and you could call when you get to the ranch, but cell service is a little iffy in some of the valleys.

I have no problems meeting early on Saturday. I would like to take you up on leavingthe doors at your cabin. I am sure we can reach you on the CB when we get to the park, if cell services is down. Renee, we can discuss logistics on Saturday at the install party.

Renee, we can discuss logistics on Saturday at the install party. I-10 to Comfort. In Comfort to 87 north. Stay on 87 through Fredericksburg and Mason. About 13 miles north of Mason you will pass through Camp Air (if you blink you will miss it!). At Camp Air you take a right on 1222 and go about 2 miles. In the middle of a hard left turn of the road you will take a right into the ranch. There is a big metal sign with Jeeps on it. Go into the ranch and you will see the place were you pay on the left. After you pay pull forward staying all the way to the right and you should see my JK and H2.

| Can't wait, I'm already getting items ready to pack in the trailer, chairs, ice chest etc! Its going to be a little chilly!!! I decided to put the top back up because Saturday morning here is suppose to be 55, and 50 in Mason with a wonderful 79 high temp. I'll take the top down when we get there. What are we doing for lunch, do we pack a lunch or is there time to go to town? | |

Have your lunch with you. More than likely we will eat on the trail. We might come back to camp, but definitely will not have time to run into town (the closest restuarant is a 30 mile round trip).

| I'll be there - going to stay in a motel in Austin on Friday night, as I have to manage a new product release, and need 'net access to do it, but that'll let me get there by 8am on Saturday.
I'll be camping Saturday night.
