| and here is what really happened... ok the axle shafts are fine, but the carrier, spider gears , and 4.88 are trashed. took the diff off and check out that dint in it  here is what everything looked like when we pulled the diff, we thought the carrier was shattered but its just cracked in 3 or 4 places, gears laying around pieces of possi everywhere and gear teeth everywhere   the pin snapped into 3 pieces too  it was a B word getting the carrier out     | |

it was not the gears that caused the problems it was the possi I think hence the "re" - re gear... You said that it was Geo's foot on the skinny pedal that caused it..... you were still in grieving mode at the time though..
