| It is with saddness that I must announce that this years TSJM is canceled. I am very sorry and apologize to those that may have made plans to attend. It was a difficult start to the year for me and I have not been able to get things rolling like it should. It is too late for us to organize and put on a good event, we did not want to put on something that was not first class. Please accept my apoligies and I hope that this event can be revived another year. Renee | |

| I'm sure it is a massive undertaking to put on something like that....I'm sure everyone will respect your efforts that you were putting into it already. For you to come out and admit that it may not have turned out as good as it could have and cancelling instead of just doing a half a**ed event shows alot about your character. There is always next year or whatever the next event may be. Maybe you could recruit some of us lazy forum surfers to help out in the future...lol. Thanks for your efforts | |

| Renee thank you for your efforts for whatever it's worth, I have not been able to commit to even a local beach run lately much less something bigtime...and you already know why as most of you do. Bottom line is your efforts are appreciated and thanks for trying! | |

| Well that stinks but we understand totally! Maybe we can get started on next years, with an early jump! Maybe even planning something for later on in the year. Let us know if you need any help with any of the future plannings! | |

| I'm sorry to hear Renee...as JN and TSJM...have been your "baby."
JN and yourself have gone through a rough spot over the last several months.
FWIW, I'm sorry that I was unable to comment right away..but thats the way it is with me and everything.
BUT...like the others, I do see and give thanks for your efforts with everything.
FWIW...and I say this w/out knowing everything thats gone on behind the scenes...I think the next TSJM should be more like the 1st @ Long's...as I liked it the best (reasons ?, perhaps mostly because it was my 1st big outting and the chance to meet A LOT of great people). As for the 2nd, well it was mainly the weather and our guide that made it not such a good time. But anyways back to my point...I think TSJM should remain kept with the same idea of JN... K.I.S.S. very loose guidelines/rules and it simply being a big ass Jeep meet. Providing food/sponors/vendors/etc unnessecary UNLESS its wanted to be used as a money making event...which would just ruin it for me (as it seems to have done this year) There was A LOT B/S and polls and crap for this event, which does nothing more than create unneeded issues.
Keep it as it was...you set a date/location (with several months or more of notice) and everybody shows up....yes, make up some t-shirts as before (sell before and during)...BYOB (and food...unless arrangements are made beforehand with different groups pitching in different items and all)...everybody goes home happy
ya want structure/vendors/food/etc and all the headaches, then go to Jeep Jamboree or something of the like...want to go to a big ass Jeep meet and spend hardly nothing and meet numerous people and have a great time, then go to JSJM | |

| I agree with Joe. Maybe it needs to go back to being just a big ass Jeep meet. Remember the first year? BYOB , a and a few | |

| Last year was my first big outting at Tree's Ranch and watching what Renee, Bobby and the rest of the gang did just to make it happen was amazing. They didnt get the chance to really wheel like the others because they had to cut out early off the trails to get other things going for the rest of us. When something is good it tends to get bigger and better every year which leaves more and more things to do and less time to do it in. Im sure with really big sponsor's it would help in some matters, but i like the idea of K.I.S.S. The less headaches you have, the more fun it will be for everyone. The best part is that the weather is finally getting warmer for those drop the top drives everyone loves so much, and with better weather comes all the events we do. Thanks Renee for what you guys do, its what i like best about this club. | |

| Renee, as stated so many times above, thank you for what I personally know is a huge effort to plan and organize an event like TSJM. It can be overwhelming, and when added to any extra-ordinary stress from daily life, it gets to be damn near impossible. If I can help take the load off your shoulders in any way, please let me know. I know I'm not a member of JN yet, but you probably know of my plans and intentions. That said, member or not, I'm here to help in any way I can for future events. N2ROCK said it best. The K.I.S.S. attitude that basically defines Jeep Nation is what interests myself and others that I've talked to. No B.S., Shut up and Wheel, Help out your fellow jeepers, and above all, have fun together. Thats what sets JN apart from the rest of the pack. -Kenny | |
