i like the one with the jeep and the fish
some really show more that just the damage to property, the line of people for gas etc.. Wow those are some amazing pics, I wish we could help, does anyone need us to bring stuff to them? I know there is still no gas, no power no ice in many locations.

| i stand corrected. i flipped through them quickly and saw a jeep pulling a tree back up, turns out it's a FJ :duh: . but to redeem myself i did go though all of the other pics and found a wrangler behind some of the people in line for gas. so my orginal post was not incorrect, just misleading | |

| You da man, Adam. We have had, so far, pinapple shrimp ka-bobs, brisket, grilled shrimp, hamburgers, grilled shrimp, bacon eggs and pancakes, grilled trout filets, elk sausage and more grilled shrimp....LOL. Mom had almost 80 pounds of shrimp frozen that we evacuated to Crosby before the last hurricane. Think it was Gustav or Edourd...they start to run together after ahwile. Anyway, that grill has been getting a work out. Claudina even made flour tortillas and pappas con huevos the other morning on it. Nothing like taquitos in the morning to make you feel better. We didnt have any salsa or pico, so I just used hot sauce.. not the same, but good enuff under the circumstances.... | |

| Hey Jeff. Yep, on a well. Its nice having free water, until you dont have free water..... We have a huge generator that you pull behind a truck, trying to figure out how to hook that sucker into the well pump, so we can have running water. It sucks making a trip out to the pool at 2am....LOL. The good thing is, the last couple of nights it has been a full moon, so you can see pretty good. We have already been visited by looters Sunday night. If they had not run when we hit them with the lights, you would have heard the shots in Newport.... It was good seeing you with your boy riding around the other day. You can take him to the High School and make him tote some ice or MRE's. Claudina went down today and picked up both. I told her not to eat the MRE, but she is hard headed and wouldn't listen. Bet she has a surprise tomorrow....bunch of trips to the pool for water.... | |

| Todd, Are you on a well were you are at? They have power in Crosby up to the railroad tracks now, but I keep hearing two weeks for Newport, so we will see. We have been camping out in the living room with the fans running, and cold showers are really getting old. I don't know when I will be allowed to go back to work, the refinery took a pretty good hit also. I heard we are probably another 2-3 weeks before getting it back on line.. | |

Hi Renee. We rode that sucker out in Crosby. We still have no lights, no running water, no ice. Flushing toilets by making trips to pool with 5 gallon bucket. But we have our family all staying together on the farm, so we are good. I am up at work tonight and tomorrow night by the Galleria. Sleeping on air mattress......

| Just got tv and internet back, they came to our subdivision and hooked a generator up to the server up the street. No sign of power co. yet. Lots of cleaning by the neighbors here. |

| Still alive - no power, but got food and each other. I faired better than most of the neighbors. Only had about 100 gallons of water enter, everyone else has a few inches inside. Here're some pics of downtown: http://picasaweb.google.com/thisdroneeatspeople/DowntownIke#still uploading -- will go dark for a few hours afterwards, until we need to check the news and run the laptop off the jeep. !c | |
