| OK guys, point me in the right direction. I need the cable and a mount for Shannon's rig.
I had intended on giving her my old Cooltech license plate mount. But I've lost some of the bolts and also I am keeping the coax. So it is kinda pointless. Then I thought I would buy here a new Cooltech mount. Went to their website and found out that they now want $100 with delivery (I only paid $60 for mine 2 years ago). I'm not willing to shell out $100 for it.
SO... give me some ideas for a simple antenna mount and coax.

| If you keep it below the roof line, you can use the Workman PSM-1 like mine, but it doesn't flex, and cause some rippling in the body if the antenna sticks above the roof and catches a tree.
It is a nice, clean look tho =)

| i had an 18' to run from my tire carrier. thru the tailgate, along the inside fender, under the pass door entry and into the footwell on the pass side. had about 2' left over in slack. most of my length was eaten up in the tailgate. | |

Yeah, I have 18' running the same in my 4dr. I have nothing left, but it does make it. So you having 2' left over does sound about right (about the width of the back doors)

Yeah, I ran 18' in my 2dr and only had a couple of feet left over. I don't think 9' will make it

| Thanks guys (and gal)... I just ordered an 18' Fire Ring, and the JK mount from Walcott CB. They were a little more expensive than Q-Tec on the mount, but since Q-tec doesn't sell the coax that would mean paying for separate shipping if I ordered from both places, so it came out cheaper overall by buying everything from Walcott.
Today I've ordered Aussie locker for mine new front shocks for Shannon's CB mount and coax for Shannon's
I'm done for now | |
