Concealed Handgun License (CHL)

Time: 8:00am to 6 pm ( I will confirm the time. everything else is confirmed)

Bring:
-Handgun (.32 or higher. Semi Auto is best)
-Closed toe shoes
-shirt that will button (ejected brass won't go down the shirt)
-cap for head protection ( you will see why in the class)
-safety glasses ( I have a few and the range will provide if needed)
-hearing protection ( range will also provide)
-$90.00 for the class
-Drinks/snacks (no alcohol until after the class)

I am signed up to do that tomorrow during lunch.

We are planning to go to BlackHawk shooting range on Sunday the 16th to practice some shooting, if anyone would like to go your welcome.

I plan to go to a range on the 16th and 23rd. I'll probably tag along with you next week. What are the range fees there? Do you have to be a member?

Its $8.00, and you do not have to be a member

Did you get the XD or the XD-M model? Yes you can get the cleaning supplies at Academy. Hopps #9 is a good kit for cleaning. If just to practice then go with Federal or Winchester. My father and I reload our own ammo cause of the amount we like to shoot and have in stock. I think I still got about 1800 rounds left.

BTW....gun ownership can be just as bad as owning a jeep. I own 3 so far. Started with a SIGMA 9MM just to see if I would like owning a polymer pistol, then a xd-m 9MM, and the most recent pistol I got is a Smith&Wesson M&P .40cal. Next, I got my eye on either a Glock 21, H&K USP .45, or a Sig.

The subcompact does not have a XDM model. So it is just the XD.
I picked the 9MM as the ammo is cheaper and I haven't shot a handgun in nearly 20 years. I need lot's of practice.

Hopefully I don't catch the gun bug, the Jeep bug nearly wiped me clean.

Should have the new toy on Thursday...

Ya the gun bug can get bad. Ah I remember my 1st gun I purchased, it was a Mossberg riot gauge. Then a Sig 229 .40 cal with the .357 Sig barrel, countless rifles, Kimber, Kel Tec, Browning...... yup once you get bit the fever kicks in!

the Jeep bug helped i guess , since I got the jeep i've only gotten 2 new guns (DPMS .308 & PARA P13-45) and got rid of 3 or 4 It wasn't necessarily buying the guns that hurt... it's the F'n accessories, ammo, and upgrades that got me

Ya those AR's are fun but not cheap. Then you start buying new barrels upgrading trigger's changing stocks.......... ya I use to have one.

He'll between chris and I we owned 23 guns at one time. It gets bad, buy a new pair of work boots or put that money down on a new pistol you saw at the pawn shop. Or go home and go thru your guns tring to figure out which one to sell because you saw a SWEET AR flat top with a bull barrel just to turn around and sell it off because it wasn't powerful enough. Now I'm down to only 7 weapons, 11 if you count bows and that's all I need.

Don't even get me started on bows and knives
