TEXAS MEET MARCH 28-30 LONGS RANCH

Hey just so everyone knows I think me and my friend are planning to leave about 2 or 3 so we can get there with the group. Anybody wanna join? Then again we are teens so we might delay until we were going to leave at the origanal time

As far as camping for me, I think we should try to get everyone in the same general area, not close to the road but also not out in the middle of no where IMO but then again I'm going to be following the crowd

Forgot, we will be breaking up into groups of 8-10 so we don't have a long wait on the trails, so pick your buds.

I hope we can get a camera person in every group.

Update, I talked to Joe today and he said we pay our money on Friday ($20.00 per vehicle) and that covers us for the whole weekend!!!! YeeHaw. He also suggested we break into groups of 10 and head out, he does not have maps but said we shouldn't have any problems.

I`d like to camp near everyone else. Just not around too much traffic because of noise,dust, etc. In other words, I`d like to camp in a spot that feels like I`m camping.

Here we go guys, sorry it is a little long, I copied some rules and prices from the web-site.

Our plans are to go up Friday evening, meeting at I10 Park & Ride about 4 or 5pm (tentative), when ever everyone can get off work. We want to caravan up some are camping and others are at the Best Western in Llano. We will wheel on Saturday and some want to wheel Sunday, others are talking about getting up on Sunday eating breakfast and heading home.
So far we have 42 rigs going and 53 people. I am getting with Joe at Long's to determine how to get us all going on the ranch without having alot of people waiting on others. I'll let you know the details.

Long Ranch Off Road Vehicle Park offers over 1,300 acres of off-road adventure, ranging from fun trails to extreme rock crawling.
There are numerous improved campsites and we encourage overnight camping, both in the pre-defined sites or anywhere else on the property that your heart desires, most of which can be accessed by trailers.
The main parking area is centrally located offering easy and quick access to your tow rig and trailer with ample parking for any size trailers.
Night wheeling is permitted with managements pre-approval.
The management at Long Ranch respectfully requires that all participants follow some simple rules.
The OHVRA opens the gates at 8:00am on Saturday and closes at 8:00pm Sunday evening. Friday night arrivals may be accommodated with managements pre-approval.

The cost is $20 per vehicle, which includes the driver.
Each additional spotter/passenger is $5.
Camping is $5 per night per tent/trailer.
Rules

1. NO DOGS - no dogs allowed, no exceptions
   
2. NO LITTERING - pick up any trash you see, "pack it in, pack it out".
   
3. All cigarettes are to be put out in an ashtray or a container, as long as it is not the ground.
   
4. No open ground fires-watch your BBQ pits closely, do not leave them unattended.
   
5. DRIVE SLOW - stay below 20mph (if you hit a cow or horse you buy a cow or horse).
   
6. Stay with your trail group - no wandering off from your group.
   
7. No excessive drinking on trails.
   
8. No excessive driving up and down the main road.
   
9. No wheeling with out a trail guide.
   
10. No wheeling after dark without managements pre-approval.
    
11. The gate will be closed and locked at 10pm.
    
12. No motorcycles, ATV's, dirt bikes, quads, or three-wheelers are allowed.
    

The property is located adjacent to the Llano River which is not controlled by the OHVRA. It is against Texas law to drive a motor vehicle in any state defined waterway (which the Llano River is).
The game wardens and local law enforcement patrol these waterways (Tickets are up to $500).
Recreational use of the river for swimming is allowed, and encouraged.

Play & Sing, how cool. Even if there isn't a lot of campers we should plan a session anyway. I really hope you get to go! Bobby's son Dustin plays drums..not that we would have any around but maybe a tree stump.

Yeah, I could bring another Jeep but the whole thing is I need to get this one back together fast. So, if i tear it down I will be working on it that weekend.

Like I said, if I do get to attend, I`m camping. I was wondering though if any of you play music or are musicians. I play a decent blues harp and can sing & was wondering if maybe a little campfire jam session might be had.
