audio engineer? big deal. If you were told to do work for Hannah Montana you would. Doesn't mean your choice of music is any better.

I think the difference here is- you weren't listening to this music in the 80's. So when you got to the age of listening to music, you look back to the 80's to see what had been done... Just like I was born in the 60's, so I didn't listen to music until the 70's. And then I looked back at the 60's and thought that stuff was way cool- Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, etc...
Look at what I grew up listening to in the 70's: Eagles, Aerosmith, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Dire Straits, and on & on... And then you try to compare that music to the music that came out in the 80's. The 80's music did zero for me. It was all so plastic, poppy and generic.
The 70's (aside from disco) saw a rise of acts that had huge musical talent... Then in the 80's the record labels started signing every band that could write a single catchy song. The labels weren't signing bands for the long haul- they were signing bands that could ma a quick buck. And if you look back- only a handful of those bands are still around and making music.
I'll give you GnR though. They had talent... Ego killed them. I was born in the 70's and grew up listening to music in the 80s. Some of these bands are great, some are not. But I would choose this music over anything from the 70s. That music just sux. I actually have two Miley Cyrus songs and listen to them while wheeling sometimes. Fly on the Wall, and Party in the USA, the Jweezy remix. And Maverick, good call on Amanda. How about Journey, Little Girl? | |

I think 70's music suck too... 80's- suck, 90-suck, early 2000's- suck Linkin Park! Avenged Sevenfold... Breaking Benjamin... Red Jumpsuit Aparatus... Silversun Pickups My biggest problem is I get bored with everything really fast. What I like today I'll hate next year. I'm constantly wanting new music, and dislike listening the music I heard years ago. I get a lot of grief from friends my age who are stuck in the 70's and 80's. I just can't handle the same old tired songs over and over. And don't even get me started on Lynyrd Skynyrd :explosive:

| I will aggree to that. Nothing can kill a great song faster than hearing it 100 times a day on the radio. | |
