| well the start of it anyways...
I received the fenders approx 2 weeks. I was told that due to my long wait, they would throw in a set of rear "skinz." Well that didn't happen, to no surprise. We opened the package and looked at the fenders and just shook our heads (there was gonna be work to do)
Due to the busy work schedule, I finally test fitted them the other day...
DAMN F'n MF'ers they "fit" like crap and look like shit! Basically: most of the holes did not line up, the driver's side fender tube was approx 1" higher than the other, the metal filler plate (lack of other terms) on the front that surrounds the grill sat against the bottom part of the grill and as it goes up has approx 1" gap, this filler plate is also way too large and just stupid as during a full stuff it would certainly pop a tire, the hood line was totally off and even in some places grinded too far in (making the hood side of the hood stick out further than the fender)
to sum it all up, both fenders were tweaked here and there...making hardly anything line up.
Now I knew going into this, there would probably be a little work needed...BUT DAMN, this much
Pictures were taken but they don't really show the injustice as in person
I was freak'n pissed to say the least (esp after the $ spent and all the BS that followed).
No I have yet to speak with Overkill, as I'm not sure I could contain myself...but it will happen

| So what did I do...
well the $ was already spent, the packaging material was already trashed, I've experienced their customer service, I've seen their "quality" (great idea, poor excution...that probably goes hand in hand with their poor management)...and I have no faith in this company in getting any kind of help with my problem
So I just do what I do and thought FAWK IT...
RockRash4x4, can ya help me fix this damn thing....
I just got it back tonight from RockRash...(although, there's a tad more work to do on them)...they are fawk'n awsome now
Nope, no pics have been taken (1. because they're not totally finished 2. because my Jeep is so dirty as usual and 3. because I said so)...they will be shown 1st at the install party this Saturday...but if you're lucky ya might get a glimpse of them as I driving around for work before then

| George, if ya don't mind (because I know nothing about fabing, welding, plasma cutters, etc) could you please share you thoughts on the fenders PRIOR to the work being done, as I'm thinking you could better explain things?
...I will also use your input in my soon to be communications with Overkill.

| just as an fyi, for anyone out there... Yes, I'm friends with George @ RockRash4x4 (as most know)... HOWEVER, my post above are from the view of a paying customer @ both Overkill and RockRash. Overkill (right now) has the only total replacement; but I ended up spending close to the same amount to have another company fix their screw ups and paint them...would I do it again, HELL NO...so just be forewarned, if you plan on purchasing them...although, perhaps I got their 1st production set and they will correct things before you buy them | |

| i was wondering whatever happened. there fronts dont look anything like the prototype on that green jeep (too lazy to link a pic). i really didn't like the look of the production fronts. how it "cuts in" above the tube. IMO i think it would look better for the sheet metal to angle out to the end of the tube, looking more like a flare than tube fender (more like the prototype ones). sorry to hear you had such a crap shoot experience with them. can't wait to see what G did with them tho | |

WTH, I finally get the fenders approx 2 weeks ago... I was told that I would also be getting the 2dr rear skinz due to the wait...they didn't show up been too busy to install, so I attempted the other day...guess what, they were all tweaked up with holes not fitting, large gaps, etc... I called Jeff Sparks that day and bitched to him about them. I'm still waiting on pics from the person who took them that day to send you an email...plus I've been very upset with your company and figured I needed some cooling off time..because of this, I didn't want to talk to bad about the product I've received and the long wait period filled with excuses Now I see this...the price cut (as Im a member of most forums) Someone please call me in the morning (Friday) Joe Robinson 713-859-1331 atexaspi@gmail.com

| Sorry you guys have had all these problems. Sounds like the same crap I went thru. The fit is horrible. I had to do so much grinding and bending to mine it was stupid. Bottom line is mine look nothing like JKRazed. The gap between the cowl and the fender is about an inch and drops as it reached the front of the hood. Im going to weld more metal to mine to fill in it. Joe, I feel your pain. You waited forever to get them and you would expect them to be right since they said they said thats why it took so long to ship them. I wish I would have went another route but nothing I can do about it now. | |

Not sure what bumper or fenders you have, could you post a couple pics? If it's fenders, disregard request, looking for bumper pics. Thanks.

| c'mon Joe, you're cmplaining about NOTHING !! it's YOUR jk. not their fenders. Jeep must've made your JK about 3/4" narrower on the passenger side and 1/2" narrower on the drivers side. When you said poor fitment, I didn't picture it being THAT bad Any pics of what G did to them and how they looked after ? | |
