We will not be able to make the caravan, but Paul will be attending the event.

I plan on being there with the kiddos!

I Just spoke with Chris at 4 Wheel Parts again. The event there is expected to be considerable in size. He is anticipate upwards of 200 people to show, including fire, police, constables, & military personnel. It looks like Randy's gang will be cooking chicken fajitas.

As for the escort situation, He did not know what to expect, but he thinks there will be a rather large group prior to our joining. That means there is likely to be a real inspiring caravan present. Anybody who has been on the fence on participating, now is your chance to come out and show out soldiers how much their sacrifice means to you.

I would like for the others that are intending on being at the caravan to post up so I have an idea. The police escort is also working with the city to assure we will have all the required personnal needed to cover the group. We will have plenty of cover just need to know how much.


I think a couple of them will be using their personal vehicals... one is a Lifted Dodge outfitted with lights...and other 4WDs.

Ok, I am out. The 3 day event of a neighborhood cleanup has been shortened to 1 day, Saturday. I have already committed to being there with the Super Duty and big trailer. I hate to miss anything for the troops, but gotta do what I already said that I would.

Yeee Haaaa!! Just got off the phone with my buddy. I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but we might have more Police in the caravan than jeeps!

There's going to be DPS, SAPD, and Bexar County Constable helping out.

Sounds great. We should have a few from other sites as well. Could someone hit up JKOwners and is SA Jeep Exclusive still around?

Hit up all 4x4 shops and SA area sites. Lets get a ton of vehicles there.

I have already emailed SAJE and Military Jeepers. Hopefully they will show.

FWIW, I was looking at SAJE's web site tonight and their event calendar is devoid of this event.

I have two additional people I have notified of the event and provided them a link to this thread. I haven't gotten any commitments from them yet, but I am hopeful.

I do know that there are some other San Antonio based JN members committed to other events that coincide with this one. In their defense, those events were known about waaaaaaaaaaaaaay in advance of this one.
