| Yes we are loaded.... I will have it on the beach also.... we are bringing dogs and burgers for us. Robert said he could catch enough fish to feed everyone else . I have loaded some seasonings etc. . I mounted a burner in the tounge of the trailer also.... maybe in the evening some chips? The sand/frying thing has fail all over it. There is a slight chance I might have to wrench on a crane Sat. am. I will let you folks know! looking forward to seeing everyone! | |

Also, in an attempt to get all the details on one page, I have transferred some information from other posts. Some are camping on the beach. Others are staying in a hotel. Here is the only hotel that I know people are staying in for this trip.
Comfort Suites Near Texas A and M - Corpus Christi 7814 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 (361) 991-7100 http://www.comfortsuites.com
Some are planning on leaving either Thursday, 8/18 or Friday, 8/19. Others are planning on leaving early Saturday, 8/20. We should plan a caravan because that is always fun. 0700 seems to be a consensus for a good departure time. I have added yet another list below for caravan planning purposes. We will need to decide on a place to rendezvous. Since most of us from San Antonio have to pass this spot I propose the Bill Miller Bar B Q at 37 South & 1604. I don't know if this location serves breakfast, but there is plenty of space for a large group and we will only be 2 1/2 hrs away from the hotel from there. Here is the address and a Google Maps link, just in case.
Bill Miller Bar-B-Q 20135 IH 37 Elmendorf, Texas 78112 (210) 621-1559 http://maps.google.com/maps/place?q=bill miller's&hl=en&cid=10837715460455880550
We should probably have a list of people planning to caravan from San Antonio. I'll start the list. Copy, paste and add your name.

If anybody else has any ideas, please post up. Uhhhhhh, I think I've gotten everybody's updates. Let's verify. jkx0778 out - check! Please pray for Carmen's surgery and recovery to go well. Renee in caravan convoy- check. Remember...if you plan on eating Saturday, it's BYOM for Randy to grill. It looks like it will be me and my daughters and we'll be eating burgers. See y'all on Saturday!

| We're home. We trailered Sacha's jeep home. It was way too much to fix without parts, that he already had at home so no use in buying extras. It was better to get it home and take the time to fix it than to rush through rigging something up. I've never seen the death wobble on a jeep, but DAMN I thought the wheels were coming off the jeep. It was still a great weekend. The water was awesome clean, no seaweed, and was calm. It was great to see everyone. We only came across one guy stuck in the sand. It was a 1 ton crew cab that I yanked out. David has it on video, I think he's going to put it on You Tube. | |

| Had a blast at the beach and it was great seeing everyone again. I want to thank Randy, Robert, Dave and Ray for helping me with the Jeep. Had deathwobble before, but never at 75 mph. After a while it started wobbling on every pebble I hit.
Randy got me home safe. Now I'm vegged out on the coach.
I did not take any pictures.

| What did we learn this weekend.....
Sacha should be referred to as King Death Wobble.
Big is a lot better fisherman than Robert.
David's girls are way cuter than he is.
We all decided Ray is a dirty old man.... and that is something to look forward to.
Prestone really pissed off his wife.
It is uber-cool to sit next to Flash Gordon at dinner.
and finally Aloe-Vera is not worth a damn as a Jello Shot!
We had a blast, and look forward to next time! Thanks to everyone, R.

| Yeah, I just posted raw video. Haven't had time to edit it. Don't know if I'll get any either now that schools back in session. I really wish I'd gotten some video of sacha's death wobble. Heaven knows there were plenty of opportunities. We sure had a good time. All of us have some sunburn. Poor Ally is just plain crispy. We bought some aloe on the way home, put it in the ice chest, and when we got home the girls gave each other ice-cold aloe massages. Randy, your post was a riot. No big revalation that my girls are way cuter than me though. It was great meeting members from Corpus, even though I know I didn't meet them all. I'm kinda relieved TVernon wasn't there after her post on my So Difficult to Say Goodbye thread. I really don't know how I would have explained that to my girls. Here's looking forward to our next gathering. They never disappoint. | |

Watch out for Robert's SNATCH! That's odd. I seem to recall Robert saying it was your's. Then he said you'd let so many play with it that it was too loose. Yeah, pretty sure that's what I heard.
