Ok! Who is leaving when and what time?

Has anyone figured out the dates. The post says 19-21, but it appears everyone is coming late morning on the 20th.

I'm going down Friday afternoon 8/19. Anyone up for 2ish departure?

I'm leaving Saturday morning around 7:00

i can probably make it out there to meet a few jeepers and check out some jeeps but probably wont wheel since my jeep is currently 2wd

Planning on heading down Saturday. Anyone have any suggestions on a pet friendly place to stay?

Planning on leaving early Saturday morning. Somewhere around 6 or 7AM. Would like to be on the beach around 9.30AM.

I gotta buddy that lives close so were gonna head there friday and meet everyone on saturday at the beach, whos gonna be there first and do you have contact info? Also whats peoples plans for saturday night...? This is my First pins trip and just trying to figure out how it works! Also where exactly we going??

Well, I don't think anyone is going to PINS. They usually go to Port Aransas beach. Most usually get a hotel at night and head to the beach during the day. It appears they are gonna gather around beach marker 66.

HAHAHA I just realized this is not a PINs trip , I appreciate the info and I will see yall there! Gonna be fun!

whats the rules for the beach... no glass etc.. also is there a online map , trying to find this spot thanks

No glass and Ur gonna have to get a parking permit , 12 dollars , can be bought from a gas station or on the beach at one of the tents or from a county employee driving the beach. Dono of any maps but the best way from san Antonio is to go 37s exit 4 (SPID) take SPID until u go over the causeway bridge. After bridge take left at light. Go about 7 miles to beach access 2. Enter beach on access 2 and take left. You will enter the beach at the 99, go to marker 66.

Yes, entrance is bout 1-2 miles past mustang island state park, right past the cc fire station.

Yup! Some of us are leaving SA at 7:00 am Saturday and spending the night in Corpus.

Hey guys just wondering what needs to be brought on this trip...Im bringing some food, drinks (adult ones not glass) , Pop up canopy thing, water for BIG dog ..... Whats others bringing? Ive got some washer boards if people enjoy playing ..... Is any one bringing a grill?? Were planning on being at the spot around 10 on Saturday.

Also, in an attempt to get all the details on one page, I have transferred some information from other posts. Some are camping on the beach. Others are staying in a hotel. Here is the only hotel that I know people are staying in for this trip.

Some are planning on leaving either Thursday, 8/18 or Friday, 8/19. Others are planning on leaving early Saturday, 8/20. We should plan a caravan because that is always fun. 0700 seems to be a consensus for a good departure time. I have added yet another list below for caravan planning purposes. We will need to decide on a place to rendezvous. Since most of us from San Antonio have to pass this spot I propose the Bill Miller Bar B Q at 37 South & 1604. I don't know if this location serves breakfast, but there is plenty of space for a large group and we will only be 2 1/2 hrs away from the hotel from there.
