Fall Big Bend Trip

Most likely camping, depending on the weather.

I gotta check my schedule, and if im not on the road that week, Im in.

Its about 45 days till an anticipated week in Big Bend. Refreshing this post to see if the folks who orriginally wanted to go are still in, and see if any new folks want to join in on it. It will be an awsome time and I cant wait.

Just to refresh, I plan on driving there on Monday 11-7 Via Hwy 90 and leaving Sunday 11-13 AM. I have reservations in the south east corner of the park in Rio Grand Villege RV Park.

So far I am still in. Debating on camping or a hotel/lodge. Any recommendation on and hotel/lodge?

nah, hotels are the one thing i havn't looked into. im contiplating canceling my rv reservations and camping if there are a few others that want to camp. i was talking with swamprat today and he recomended the chisos basin for camping. looked into it a little and looks really nice.

Yeah I rather camping too but was worry about the temperature at night but it looks like Michelle won't be able to go so I will probably just camp

Well acording to the averages on weather.com, average lows in november are 36 and highs are 70. Sounds a little chilly overnight.

My wife and went in November last year and the weather was perfect, a little cool at night but it makes it more comfortable for sleeping. Just be sure to take a warm sleeping bag.

That week is not looking so good. I might be able to finagle my schedule around and squeeze it in, but I won't know for sure until a couple of weeks from now. I'll post up later with my final status on the trip.

So far, green is confirmed, yellow are a maybe to probably, but not confirmed. Probably time we really start making some definate plans. For those who will come later in the week I will leave my phone number so we can meet up when you get there. If there are any new folks who wana join, add to the list. For those who are on the list from the orriginal post, please confirm if your still able to go, when you plan on getting there and where you are gonna stay. that way we can coordinate a meetnig spot each day. I have never been there so if there are some who know the area give me some info on good areas to explore. there are a few areas I have heard of and plan to explore, and find more areas to explore once we are down there. I have spoke to some who have told me there are more than a weeks worth of trails to explore.

Color me green. Don't know exact dates yet, but plan on staying at a motel in Terlingua. It's worth $40 a night for A/C and creature comforts.

Yet another event that is gonna come and go without my being able to go. I know this was a long-shot when I saw the planned date, but now know I cannot make it.

The fall trip to Big Bend is getting closer. I thought I would repost my photos from the Easter trip. It was very hot then (105) but going in November should be much better.

Change me to a maybe . Boss is telling me that I have to be at work the week of November 7th. I am still trying to work something out but it doesn’t look promising

Well the time is here. I will be pulling out of here tomorrow evening and staying the night in Del Rio. I should be hooked up and ready to go monday afternoon.
