I think that I am going to be able to meet y'all at Rudy's in Selma at 6am to go up there. I might have another jeep with me if he can get it fixed by then.

For those who want, we will meet at Rudy's in Selma at 0600. We will meet the rest at the Fischers on 281 on the south side of the Guadalupe River Bridge hopefully in time to leave by 0700. I would expect us to get into Marble Falls between 8 - 830. We will stop at the Exxon by the Autozone to gas up before we head out to Hidden Falls. If anyone needs anything my phone # is 830-832-6449.

Hey guys, Javier Padron, AKA Skull Crusher is a SA local Filmer/wheeler wants to come along and film our adventure, does anyone have an empty seat he could ride in? This is his youtube channel. Cool stuff. https://www.youtube.com/user/dbzgt545?blend=5&ob=video-mustangbase

I'm a newbie and would like to take a look. My JK is stock, so I don't think it's trail-worthy, but would like to ride if someone has a seat.

Just so I understand, the Guadalupe Bridge is the one north of Hwy 46?

I will probably have an available seat. My jeep is kind of crappy and cannot guarantee it will get us back from there or even get us there. And I have been told I am kind of annoying. But if that stuff does not bother you, you are welcome to ride with me.

Yes, Its a few miles north of Hwy 46 in Bulverde. Fischers will be on your left just before the bridge. If you happen to pass it and go over the bridge, there is a turn around on the other side.

Bring on the stock Jeep! I took 2 trips to this park with a stock set up. You'll find out that they are plenty capable. There will be plenty for you to do at the park.

Dang I am trying to decide whether to go or not... my stupid transfercase has a squeaking front output bearing, so I have been driving with no front shaft. I am planning on replacing the whole case soon once I decide between an atlas or a doubler, but I am thinking one bad bearing won't be too much of an issue for a day of wheeling. I am going to go put it on jack stands and listen to things a little closer and I will let you guys know what I decide.

Thanks to my trail-mates, I survived my first wheeling trip. Smile

A few of you guys expressed an interest in the SAJE out at Hidden Falls. Here is a small breakdown. It's a great group of people and always good runs.

$30 gets you a membership, t-shirt, stickers, and free dinner at all club runs. Best $30 I have ever spent. Follow this link to the website for the club application and event schedule.

http://www.sanantoniojeepexclusive.com/San_Antonio_Jeep_Exclusive/Contact_SAJE.html

The next club meeting is at Chester's hamburgers on the third Tuesday of each month at 19:30.

1006 NE Loop 410
San Antonio‎ TX‎ 78209
United States

Our 1st Club Run of 2012 is fast approaching!

Please note:  It appears the cost is $35 for the weekend...not $30 for Saturday and $50 for both days...

2011 is nearly over, and it's time to ring in the New Year with our next SAJE Club Run...I know a lot of you have been wrenchin' on your Jeeps, fixing things and making them better (hopefully!), and it's time to try out your repairs/changes/improvements!
Webster's Dictionary defines Tradition as "an established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior such as a religious practice or a social custom".
And, in keeping with a tradition that has been established over the last several years, we're headed to Still Waters Ranch for our 1st club run of 2012!  (Jeeping is certainly not a religion, but it is definitely a social custom with lots of "action" and "behavior"...I'm not sure how much thought goes into it, though...)
We only get a chance to run Still Water's several times per year...it's close...take advantage!
It's simple...Show up Friday night or Saturday morning...run Still Water's ranch all day Saturday...come back with us to Oxford Ranch for a Club dinner...go home or camp there for the night and run until 2 PM on Sunday...What's not to like?

This will be another joint club run with our sister club, Austin Jeep Exclusive.

Please remember to RSVP so we will know how much food to prepare.

Saturday night menu:  TBD

 Agenda:
Saturday, January 21:
$30 for the one day, $50 for both days
8:00 AM - Registration open at Oxford Ranch Campground - sign in, fill out waivers, pay, air down, disconnect, etc.
8:30 AM Sharp - SAJE Departure from Oxford to Still Waters Ranch
9:00 AM - Driver's meeting just inside Still Waters gate...we'll split up into 3 or 4 groups of various levels, and hit the trails!
6:00 (+/-) - Dinner at Oxford Ranch Campground
Sunday, January 22:
8:00 AM - Registration open at Oxford Ranch Campground - (if not already done)
8:30 AM Sharp - SAJE Departure from Oxford to Still Waters Ranch
9:00 AM - Driver's meeting just inside Still Waters gate...we'll split up into groups and hit the trails!
2:00 PM - Leave Still Water's for Oxford & home!
Note:  SAJE will be based at the Oxford Ranch Campground, and will be serving the Saturday evening meal from this location @ around 6 PM.  Camping fees for Oxford Ranch, based on last year, are:  Primitive $15 per night - includes a lovely patch of ground and access to the restroom/bath house building.  RV/Tent sites $22 per night - includes water, electricity, and sewer.  Day Use Trailer Parking fee $5.

Please arrive around 8am.  We will be leaving the Oxford Campground at 8:30 sharp to make the cross country drive to Stillwater Ranch.  It takes all of 30 minutes!

Bring any food, snacks, water, after trail beverage, and a lawn chair to hang out around the fire.  Lunch is on your own (and on the trail).  SAJE is providing he Saturday evening meal.

CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR DIRECTIONS to the Oxford Ranch Campground where we will be basing camp for our Still Waters Ranch run.

 http://mapq.st/eil0wQ

Attached is a map of Still Water's Ranch (not quite up to date).  Also, I've attached PDF version of the release form to be filled out before running trails on the Still Waters Ranch.  Print it, fill it out, and bring it with you with correct change to save time on registration!  We'll be using a "Group Waiver" for SAJE, like we did at Hidden Falls last fall.

Hope to see you there!

Jack
