Date and Location for Beach trip

That is good to hear, that was one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid. I am going to have to go down there for a day real soon.

too bad we didn't stick to the crystal beach idea, they have really done a lot of work down there, they now have 2 gas stations up an running a gift/surf shop up one buger joint and 2 or 3 bars open...while we were there this past weeked we saw about 50 new beach houses that had signs on them that said "rent me".......also all the galveston hotels and motels are open.....for the most part galveston looks as it did pre Ike.

I think it would have been cool if we had taken over the ferry and the beach.......

I know when everyone deided to go to Matagorda, Crystal was in bad shape.......they have come a long way since then.....heck we were there back in June and it was still a little messed up but in the past month they have really done a lot of work and built a lot of new homes and businesses

somehow i am sure we can find things to bump into it the sand, especially along the texas coast.

Cool, we can find a way to dent up some more plastic so you can show your wife why you need George to make you a new bumper.

still trying to decide if we are just going to the day trip on sat or balls the wall camping. either way looks like we are going.

Several of us already have reservations at Fisherman's hotel, if you don't want to camp, get your rooms booked!! We are gonna have a blast!!!

it appears that matagorda is the offical location, so whats the official dates?

Houston Guys, we need a meet up place and time for Saturday. I think those of us going down on Friday can get together and maybe have dinner or something, but we still need a plan for Sat.

We booked here too

Just booked our room at the Fishermans hotel.

We are staying in a hotel, I need the shower for all that sand.

I dont mind the whole bon fire deal but I already rented a cabin to stay in.
