| Just a warning for everyone, I noticed last time that after I got the heep washed that alot of rust started on my axles. If you don't want this then I suggest puts a coat or two of black paint on before making the trip to fight off some rust | |

| Another thought that I may have already posted but, we can also set up camp/dinner at Yarborough pass. I mean actually having it at the laguna instead of the beach....less wind. Just a thought. I also mentioned before I`ll be bringing my pop up shelter as well as my grill like the one I made Skoalman buy | |

| Steve and Renee, thats a great idea. We will just meet everyone at the 10MM after fishing early that morning. We have a canopy as well. Need shade. If we put all the canopys and tarps together, we'll look like a giant Jeep shanty town... And we are bringing our new grill that Adam made me buy...... | |

| Sounds great to me!!! Lets just plan on everyone bringing something, everything is good when you eat it on the beach so bring whatever. I thought we could maybe set-up camp around the 10-15 mile marker as well. I know some of the guys are going down to Yarbroah pass (spelling) and that is at the 15 mile marker...what do you guys say lets do camp at 10 miles??? That way its not too far from the area the guys will be wheeling and not too far from the entrance. Once we meet everyone at the 4 wheel sign on Sat we will drive down to 10 miles and set up. We have a small cover to put up too. | |

| I'm with eating on the beach, I'm not terribly fond of the idea of setting up camp, and then tearing it down to go hit a restaurant, or waiting until after dark to set up camp.
We should also make some closer plans to where we want to setup shop on the beach. Since we're going to be going down in different groups (I'll probably leave around 6am or so on Friday, otherwise I'll just be chilling at home watching TV, or *gasp* doing chores.), us early folks can get things setup a bit.
Now, I'm not terribly knowledgable about the status of fishing out there, but I hear from the 10-mile marker on is good (and much less crowded), so what about camp around the 10 or 15 mile point?
I'll bring my big heavy canvas tarp, and we can string it between a couple of jeeps for a sunshade. (I have some of those extending poles for it, but they can't take the weight of the tarp with anything more than a mild wind.)

| Hey all... I wanted to throw something out here I know earlier in this thread it was mentioned about going to a restaurant for Saturday dinner. But here's something to think about 1) in February, the restaurants all had hour long (or more) waits, so we ended up splitting up and going to different restaurants. Not to mention it was difficult to keep us all together driving thru traffic 2) if we leave the beach around dinner time, we're missing out on 3 hours (or so) of daylight to go wait and sit at a restaurant. 3) it sounds like the group is going to be a bit "splintered" during the day with some folks fishing, others driving, others swimming, etc... With all that being said. I would like to suggest that instead of heading to a restaurant for dinner, why don't we all just cookout on the beach? Gives us all a chance to regroup and socialize, no traffic to worry about, no waiting for a table, get to enjoy the last hours of sunlight, and hey- a chance for me and Crux to perform as we hang out with the sunset What do y'all think? | |

| Shannon will be riding with me - too expensive to take both rigs- and we may even decide to take her Jeep to save on gas (since mine is such a pig now). So combine us on the list.
I don't think Geo and Jennie are going to go. Geo hates sand as much as I hate mud | |
