| If no one opposes lets officially change this to Sunday the 24th, we have a few more guys that are available and will have more help on the trail. I spoke with Paul at Clines, he asked if we could start about 12:30 because he has a meeting in the am, I thought that was ok. | |

| Outstanding! My wife and I will be dividing and conquering that day after church. She'll have our older daughter and I'll have the younger. We'll plan on meeting y'all out there. I'm really looking forward to seeing what my Jeep can do besides the small stuff. I don't have a winch, but from other posts in this thread, I'll make sure I have my recovery strap on-board (I do all the time anyway).
I'll call you Renee, and Paul on my way in.

| We have several new guys coming out with us on this trip so I wanted to share some tips. If you are new to wheeling here are a few tips to consider before you go, this is not inclusive and Murphy’s Law applies * The club will never leave anyone behind we all work together to help with tools, parts or labor * Most of the trails we go on are mild to moderate rated 2 to 4 on a scale of 1 to 5, many trails have “bypasses” , no one will be pressured to wheel a trail they do not feel comfortable with * Be prepared you may get some damage anywhere from a scratch to axle break (this is not guaranteed, you may wheel for years without any damage but just be prepared) * We always disconnect the front sway bar and air down our tires down for better off-road traction, we can show you how * Quick disconnects are easy and are recommended but if you do have them bring a wrench * An air down tool is helpful * Portable air pump for airing back up, several of us have air so you don’t have to get a air pump right away Be prepared to be on the trail a few hours before returning to camp * Flip flops are not recommended, wear tennis shoes or hiking boots * Tow hooks on front and rear are highly recommended, really a must so you can be pulled if needed * Tow strap & shackle are very helpful Things to bring * Ice chest with drinks and snacks (you will want to strap down the ice chest so it doesn't roll around, bungee cord or tie down strap will work) *Bug spray *A few tools, wrenches, screw drivers, pliers *Portable air compressor (we will share if you don't have one) *Folding chair *Sun screen *Spare tire *Gloves We will be happy to help until you are able to get all the items you need, here are a couple links to some of the items we use for an example. http://www.sidekickoffroad.com/currie.htm http://store.jksmfg.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=QRDISC&Store_Code=JKS01&Category_Code=Swaybar_Disconnects http://www.quadratec.com/default.php | |

Still new to this and lacking most recovery gear.
Do you need a definite confirmation by a certain date?
Do we pay Clines or a club rep?
Thanks,

| johnny,
don't sweat the recovery gear too much. you have stock tow hooks front & rear, right? that should be fine. We should have enought people with winches and tow straps if you're lacking. As long as you got attachment points, you'll be ok.
bring some water, maybe some work gloves ("just in case"), a first aid kit if you got one (again, "just in case"), and you should be good to go.
