Plan on heading out Friday, hopefully get out of work around noon - want to get to the beach before dark to setup camp, and will have to stop and get my trailer and such after leaving the office.

Just a heads up for the trip I was at 37 and 1604 the gas was $2.59 for regular and diesel was $2.82 at the connoco truck stop.

I know several guys from Houston are coming they will probably caravan, I can shoot out a email and see what the plans are. If you dont caravan you can give us a call and we can hook up before we reach the beach. As soon as we determine what time we are leaving I can let you know what time we will be getting there.

I was looking thru all the posts to see who all is coming from Houston. Unless I missed someone it looks like Church, me, Vixxen and RonG on Friday and Steve on Saturday.

Ok, there are alot of post on here and it might be getting a little confusing.

Does anyone have a master plan? What time are we leaving to go down?

Are some people staying up in Port A? And not down in South Padre?

What is the schedule once down there? Are there any plans?
(I was hoping that Michael and I could get in some scuba diving)

I'm off all day on Friday and would love to leave early. (like really early)

Some of us are going to meet up early Friday morning to head on out there. There may be several groups leaving at different times on Friday.

I may be home in Refugio that weekend, so I just might grace you assholes with my presence on Saturday.

What confused me was the address of our hotel:

It made me think we were headed to South Padre, but it is on Padre Island Drive. (The south portion of it.)

Ok, so you can see from my post that I was totally confused. I am not too sure about scuba in Port A as the water there does not have very good visibility. I will do some research and let you know. Tell me more about your spearfishing.

i haven't been in the water in a few years but we go to port a and spearfish off the jettys for sheepshead we go out to the 2nd set pof rocks and sit on the bottom. have you ever spearfished befor

No we have never spear fished. We are not fishermen and am not sure what we would do with the fish if we killed them.

We are gona head down Friday after work probably around 5ish. Is any body else leaving late Friday? Does any body know about how long a drive this is from New Braunfels?
