July 30-31/Aug 1 PINS Run - HOTEL UPDATE INFO

Got the location I-37 and 1604 South, one more question......what time, we will be coming in Friday and we are coming in from North Houston, never been to PINS, and don't want to be wandering around Corpus and Padre aimlessly

If anyone is coming down 35 or coming anywhere near Portland, they're more than welcome to meet at my place and we can go from there.

If y'all are coming from Houston go 59s through Victoria .. U can make it to pins in the same amount of time it'll take to get to S.A.

U can't get lost.. Once u get to corpus just follow "SPID" to the beach and call one of us...


I'm gonna take off work that Friday so I can meet at 37 & 1604.. What time and where?

I am open for times to meet, I suspect we will have some going down Friday and a few for coming in on Saturday. We plan tol take off Friday what time shall we meet 9ish or 10???

I know several guys from Houston are coming they will probably caravan, I can shoot out a email and see what the plans are. If you dont caravan you can give us a call and we can hook up before we reach the beach. As soon as we determine what time we are leaving I can let you know what time we will be getting there.

Not sure if I'll make this one. The heat may be too much for my kiddo, not to mention Carmen will be about 5 or 6 months pregnant by then and won't be very comfortable (which means i'll be pretty miserable if she's miserable )

Alright, as of now, we are planning on going...but as I have learned this last week or so, things can change in an instant...

What's the plan for staying down there? Everyone camping on the beach, or staying at a central hotel?

We'll be staying in a hotel.

We do the hotel thing too, we stayed at a Best Western close by.

should we find a single hotel and try to get a discount? of course, one with a good bar :-)

Just FYI, if we all want to stay at the Best Western 14050 S Padre Island Dr, I have contacted the manager to see what kind of group room rates we can get. He is to call back this afternoon, which usually means, I will be making the follow-up call.

Who all wants to stay in this hotel and for how many nights? They are booking up fast, so let's see if we can do this somewhat expediously.

Lets' see how many rooms we can round up!

I would stay Friday and Saturday night.
