As of March 28, we have 6 rooms requested.

PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A GROUP ROOM RATE DISCOUNT, I WILL NEED TO KNOW WHO WANTS WHAT AND FOR HOW MANY NIGHTS, NLT THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 2ND. NEED 10 ROOMS TO EVEN BEGIN NEGOTIATIONS. THE MORE ROOMS, THE BETTER. IF WE DO NOT HAVE 10 ROOMS, EVERYONE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS. I AM MAKING MINE ON FRIDAY, EITHER WAY. ONCE I MAKE MY RESERVATIONS, I CAN'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YA DON'T GET YOURSELF A ROOM AT THE CENTRAL LOCALE.

Again, please include king or queen and number of nights. If I do not receive king/queen/smoking info, you'll be put down for 2 queens/NON smoking. I don't know if they have smoking rooms or not..................let me know if you want a smokey room in the event they do.

You're welcome Jeff, and I will let you know prior to finalizing my reservations.

If there were no other considerations, it'd be a king, but I might could split a room with someone else if they wanted.

We will stay Fri & Sat, need two rooms one with a king and one with two queens.

I'm working with the manager to try and get a group rate, reduced rates start out at 10 rooms, and they will reduce it even more if we can get more than 10. I know it's early and some are undecided if they will be going yet, but we need to get rooms booked. I will wait till Friday Arpil 2, to see how many rooms we have and contact the manager of the hotel, if we have at least 10 rooms. If we don't have enough rooms by that date, everyone will be on their own to make the reservations. I will be making mine on Friday, one way or another. I can get a decent AAA discount, but wanted to see what rates we might could get with a group reservation.

So, Friday is the deadline for my attempt to get a group rate discount. After that, to each his/her own.

Jeff, you want a king, or two queens, I'm thinking 2 qs, but want to make sure. If need be, I can get you that number to the hotel.

Anyone know of an RV park close to where we will be wheeling?

Better go with 2 queens in case I take the kids. If they hear I am going to the beach they will hide in my jeep.

Biglers are in...pair -o- queens (always beats a single king, at least with the guys I play cards with). My wife will be celebrating her B-day that weekend.

Just for you Randy, I will inquire, do you want a smoking room and how many nights, I'm assuming Fri/Sat, but you know how that assume stuff goes...............anyone else gets a NON SMOKING 2 queens, 2 nights if they do not specify in the room request.

Hey Mr RG, there is a campground at Malaquite beach, which is at the start of PINS. From what I can tell it doesn't have full hokups, here's the link, http://www.nps.gov/pais/planyourvisit/malaquite_campground.htm .. I will see what else is close, I know there are a bunch on the Island but i will see if i can find some of the closest.

Thanks, I found a couple but I am not sure which one is closest to where we are going to be, I have not been down there wheeling before. Hookups are not a must but would be nice (obviously).

Are we going in on Park Rd 22 and then where from there? There are several on the mainland side and a couple on the island. Just trying to narrow it down....

I am thinking that we will just stay there, there are a bunch of RV only and tent/RV sites and they are all on a "first come" basis. Looks like it is in a perfect spot.

Just have to see if I will be able to get all the way down there towing the camper...
